Public Relations

For my masters program, I decided to focus more on the business side of communications and found myself in public relations, absolutely loving it! I look forward to developing these skills further in the future.

Break Free From Plastic

In the spring of 2024, I was a part of developing a campaign for Break Free From Plastic, an environmental nonprofit. My team and I created a comprehensive strategy to promote their Toxic Tours project, culminating in a documentary proposal, a film festival application, and a virtual Earth Day release.

I took a lot of leadership in this project managing the client communications, keeping things on deadline and executing the final pitch to the best of my ability. 

 

The pitch was all-encompassing and included a 4 C's situation analysis, promotion recommendations, an example press release, a budget, a creation plan and a promotion plan. The nonprofit appreciated our work so much that they decided to implement our ideas, which was incredibly validating.
